Administrative Assistant Associate (A.A.S.) Degree

Program Description

The Administrative Assistant Associates Degree in Occupational Studies (A.O.S.) is one of Bramson ORT College's longest running programs. It has produced many successful professionals that have advanced their careers in a variety of different office settings. Due to the specialized nature of the program, students are prepared to work in positions that require skills in legal transcription, business management, accounting and human resource management.

Students in the Administrative Assistant program use the latest office technology equipment and software in all of their classes. Furthermore, students are provided with individual-based training and tutoring; high quality internship opportunities for practical experience; and hands-on courses, such as Keyboarding, Secretarial Practices, Graphic Presentation and Publishing.

By the end of their studies, students will have a working knowledge of keyboarding (with the ability to type more than 40 WPM without mistakes), accounting, business management, electronic data processing and electronic office record management, Microsoft Office programs and advanced publishing, human resource management, legal transcription, legal office practices, office procedures, and graphic presentations.

Credits obtained by students while in the Administrative Assistant program are transferable to four-year programs at other colleges and universities worldwide. In order to earn the Administrative Assistant Associate Degree at Bramson ORT College, a student must complete at least 60 credits.
